There is also Yuksom, which is a historical town and was once the capital of the state. The town’s highlight is that it is the entry point of Kanchenjunga National Park.

You also should not miss out on Lachen, which is a picturesque mountain village. The village offers some of the best views of the state with snow-covered mountain peaks and grassy terrains. This can definitely inspire the adventure junkies and trekkers to go for the challenging trails of Mt Pandim, Mt Kabru, Mt Simvo, Mt Jopuno, Mt Khangchendzonga and Mt Siniolchu.

The village is also a base point for Chopta Valley, Tso Lhamu Lake and Gurudongmar Lake. Just around Lachen is Lachung, which is famous for its wildlife.

Also, Ravangla’s beauty and wildlife are equally mesmerizing. The town is considered to be a paradise for the nature lovers, which offers outstanding mountain views.

Another among the several must see destinations in Sikkim is Namchi. Known to be the cultural capital of the state, people from all over the world come here to witness the popular Namchi Mahotsav.

The state is not all about nature, the adventure enthusiasts are in for a treat too. Most of the destinations offer skiing and snow-boarding activities and one of them is Pelling. The blanket of snow in Sikkim provides the perfect setting for skiing. The state is blessed with many such places with the scenic view of the Himalayas.
