Yuksom- The Town Bestowed With Fabulous Attractions!

Yuksom is a picturesque town located in north-eastern state of Sikkim. It is popularly known as the antique capital of Sikkim. The term Yuksom means ‘the assembly of three learned priests’. It is the place where the three learned monks had come in the past from Tibet. This amazing town was initially the capital of Sikkim and was established by the first religious king of Sikkim in 1642 AD. The town offers fascinating views of Mt. Kabur, Mt. Jopuno and Mt. Narsing. There are several historic places near this town, each having its own unique charm. It is the main trailhead for the Khangchendzonga trek which is the most famous trek of Sikkim.

Yuksom In Winter (December To February)
