- Room decoration with flowers, and a honeymoon cake on arrival.

Permits for Your Sikkim Honeymoon
Do couples need a permit for a Sikkim honeymoon? Indian citizens do not need a permit to enter Sikkim or to visit Gangtok, Pelling, Namchi or Ravangla. You do need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) for the romantic high spots: Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass and Baba Mandir, and all of North Sikkim beyond Chungthang (Lachen, Lachung, Yumthang, Zero Point and Gurudongmar Lake). We arrange these for you.
How it works for Indian couples
- The permit is route-and-date specific, not a single all-access pass. A Tsomgo permit does not cover Lachung, so each stretch is applied for separately.
- Solo permits are generally not issued for these zones; they are processed for groups through a registered Sikkim agent, which is where our on-ground team comes in.
- Carry originals and copies of a government photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, passport or driving licence) and a few passport photos each. We handle the filing.
For foreign-national couples
- Foreign nationals need a different permit (RAP/PAP), must travel through a registered operator, and are not permitted at Nathula Pass, Gurudongmar Lake or Zuluk. Plan North Sikkim and East Sikkim stops with this in mind. (As of September 2026)
Please note that permit rules and open zones change with weather and security, we confirm the current position for your exact dates before you travel.
