Itinerary

Your trip commences with arrival at the New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport. Here, a representative from our team will greet you and you will embark on a scenic drive to Gangtok.

This landlocked capital city is blessed with distinctive beauty. The drive to Gangtok will take you through hilly terrains that are surrounded by the Himalayan mountain ranges and enjoy a close encounter with river Teesta and river Rangeet.

Upon reaching the hotel, check in and relax. The rest of the day will be at your will to explore.

Spend the overnight comfortably at the hotel in Gangtok.

Perched at an elevation of 12,400 feet, the second day of this tour will take you to the Changu or Tsomgo Lake. After savouring a healthy breakfast at the hotel, take a 3-hour drive to reach atop where the lake is glittering in all its glory. The Sikkimese people consider the water body sacred and in the olden days, the lamas studied the colour of the water and predicted the future. A darker tint of the water meant that some danger was encircling the town.

Then, head to the Baba Mandir. It is a shrine that is dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, an ex-Sentry of Punjab Regiment. It is said that he fell into a stream and drowned. However, his soul still surrounds and guards the place. His clothes, shoes and a photo frame are housed at the mandir. It is mandatory for army officials to pay their respects here and the national anthem is played on a continuous loop. It is located at a striking height of 13,200 feet and the views are sweeping.
An optional tour to Nathula Pass can also be arranged for if you wish, at an extra cost. It connects India to China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. It is amongst the highest passes reachable by travellers via motorable road.

Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.

Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel in Gangtok and proceed towards Lachung.

En-route, visit Singhik viewpoint. It is known for its unparalleled beauty and offers the most outstanding sights of Mt. Siniolchu and Mt. Khangchendzonga. Surrounded by lush green hills, you can see the confluence of Kanaka and Teesta rivers from there. The area also houses numerous interesting short nature trails for adventure lovers.

Then, head to see the Seven Sisters Waterfall. It is a set of seven different waterfalls that are harmoniously arranged on a widespread cliff. It facilitates the visitors to savour the perfect beauty. They seem to be seven different cascades if watched distantly. The view when they fall carelessly over the limestones abruptly with a thunderous sound is a sight for sore eyes.

Continue driving to Lachung then after. On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy some delicious local delicacy. Spend the overnight at the hotel in Lachung.

Early morning, a drive will take you 11,800 feet where Yumthang Valley is perched. This is your destination for the fourth day of the Gangtok Lachung Pelling tour package where you will be enthralled by the breath-taking beauty of Yumthang.

After a quick breakfast at the hotel in Lachung, visit this valley which means ‘The Valley of Flowers’. You will find varieties of flora and fauna that is rear and special only to Sikkim. You can also see Yaks as it is their grazing ground. Moreover, you will be able to spot Billy goats, Horses and varieties of Rhododendron trees in the valley.

On the way back down, you can make quick stops and visit the hot springs. They are said to have medicinal properties in them that cures various skin diseases.

An optional tour to the Zero Point can be arranged for on request and at an additional cost. Set at an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level, civilians are barred from going any further than this point as the international border of China lies only a few meters ahead.

Return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, visit the areas surrounding your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

There are two scenic sightseeing spots that you will cross on your way to Gangtok. Witness the prettified Bheema and Twin Falls. They are also known as the Amitabh Bachchan Falls owing to their marvellous height. The cascades are sure to leave a lasting impression on your minds. Moreover, if the weather is suitable and the sky is clear, you can enjoy the exquisite views of the eastern Himalayan ranges.

Proceed to Gangtok then after. Upon reaching, check in at the hotel in Gangtok and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Your trip on the sixth day will have you check out from the hotel in Gangtok after a delicious breakfast and head to Pelling via a long scenic drive.

Pelling is a Himalayan wonderland that is bestowed with an assortment of vegetation and uninterrupted valleys and a peaceful environment. It has a flora and fauna comprising of over a 100 species of native and migratory birds.

Upon reaching the hotel in Pelling, check in and relax. The rest of the day will be at your will to explore. You can stroll around the hotel complex and visit the local restaurants for a treat.

Start your day early yet again and treat your stomach to a healthy breakfast meal. Prepare for some local sightseeing in Pelling.

First, head to the Darap Valley. It offers a serene environment and indulge in conversations with local people and learn about the village life in Sikkim. It has become a famous spot among travellers owing to its sustainable tourism practices.

After your warm time spent with the villagers, visit the Rimbi waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga waterfalls.

These pristine cascades are assumed to be originating high up in the glaciers of Mount
Kanchenjunga. They can drench you in merely a few seconds and are ferocious in nature.

Then, proceed to visit the Rock Garden and the Khecheopalri Lake. The Rock garden is an ideal spot for picnickers. This place is studded with lush manicured gardens and crisscrossing footpaths. Take a stroll and bask in the views of the beautiful surroundings.

The Khecheopalri Lake is one of the most sacred lakes in Pelling and is also a holy pilgrimage site. It is believed that wishing at this lake makes them come true. Another miracle is that you will never find leaves floating over the water even if it is set amidst the thick bushy forest.

Next, visit the Rabdentse Ruins, Pema Yangtse monastery and the Helipad Ground. The ruins are a must see for the history-enthusiasts who wish to dig into the state’s glorious past. It is a must see site for archaeological and history lovers. The ruins also provide its visitors with a splendid view of the Kanchenjunga Range.

The Pema Yangtse monastery is at a walking distance from here and the floors are ornamented with statuaries, paintings and ancient scriptures. The main statue of Guru Padmasambhava housed in the monastery is magnificent.

The Helipad Ground offers spectacular views of the Kanchenjunga mountain peak and the gushing river that flows through the foothills. The view of the sunset here is like something you must have never witnessed.

Return to the hotel in the evening and stay overnight.
