Itinerary

North East India welcomes you wholeheartedly. On arrival at the railway station or Bagdogra airport, embark on a scenic drive and head to Gangtok. Enjoy the views of the massive mountains in the surroundings that are bounded with jade meadows as you proceed to the hotel in Gangtok.

Upon reaching the hotel, check in and relax. The rest of the day will be at your will to explore.

MG Marg
We recommend you to take a stroll on the MG Marg in the evening. Shop for local artefacts and make sure to buy the most famous things such as the Nepalese dresses, Tibetan carpets, alpine cheese, hand-woven jackets, electronics and bamboo and cane baskets.

Return back to the hotel and enjoy spending the overnight in the comfort of the hotel room in Gangtok.

The second day of this Pelling and Gangtok holiday package commences with a healthy breakfast at the hotel and followed by sightseeing in Gangtok.

Tsomgo Lake
Head to the Tsomgo Lake that requires a 3-hour drive to reach and it is set at a height of 12,400 feet. It is a glacial lake and the reflection of the neighboring hills on the water is a sight for sore eyes.

Baba Harbhajan Mandir
Next, visit the Baba Harbhajan Mandir. The views from 13,200 feet above where this temple is situated will leave you enthralled. It is dedicated to an Indian soldier who passed away by drowning in a nearby stream and it is believed that his soul still protects fellow military mates. A lot of people also bottle the water in the name of the ailing people and the water seems to heal them. You can also take a ride on colorfully ornamented yaks and ponies here.

Optional Tour to Nathula Pass / Additional Charges / Special Permit
If you wish, an optional tour to Nathula Pass can also be done at an additional cost payable on the spot. You can soak in the serene beauty and walk down the staircase that leads to the fenced Indo-China border.

Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.

Tashi View Point
Start by first visiting the Tashi View Point that offers a breath-taking view of the Kanchenjunga snow peaks on a clear day. It is a sight to behold specially during sunrise when you can see the peaks gleaming with changing colours.

Ganesh Tok
Next head to the Ganesh Tok, a beautiful Lord Ganesha temple set at an altitude of over 6,000 feet. The temple top offers stunning views of the valley, snow peaks and the town.

Hanuman Tok
Next, head over to Hanuman Tok to seek blessings and to soak in the greenery and best views of mount Kanchenjunga.

Bakthang Waterfalls
Located along the roadside, the picturesque Bakthang Waterfalls is the second best waterfall in Gangtok. Marvel the sight of the gushing water falling over a canopy of trees. The mesmerising vistas of the mighty Himalayas in the background add to the already existing charm of this place.

Gangtok Handicraft and Handlooms
If you have a creative bent of mind, you can visit this place to learn artwork, making hand crafted items and other handloom products. You can also admire the museum showcasing some rare collections of legendary artists and craftsmen in Gangtok. 

Enchey Monastry
Next, head to Enchey Monastry which showcases the unique architecture and pagoda style look.

Flower Exhibition Center
Your last stop in Gangtok is the Flower Exhibition Center located alongside the beautiful Ridge park. It is a must visit place for flower lovers and nature enthusiasts who can see a variety of colourful flower species blooming all over the place.

After exploring Gangtok, hop in the car and drive off to Pelling. It is an unexplored land that is seeking attention from travellers. Pelling is rich in culture, history as well as scenic beauty.

The zigzagging roads on your way from Gangtok to Pelling will make your adrenaline rush high and at the same time, the affluent green-forested peaks will provide calmness to your senses.

Khecheopalri Lake

Pema Yangtse monastery
