Day 01: Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Train Station & Shillong Sightseeing (121.5 km / 3 hours approx)
- Welcome to Meghalaya, fondly called the home of clouds. After your arrival at Guwahati airport or train station, our representative will greet you and drive you to Shillong. The road distance is roughly 121.5 km and takes about 3 hours to reach.
- Stop by the various sightseeing points in Shillong before arriving at your pre-booked hotel. You will get to see lakes, hills, waterfalls, and the charming natural beauty of Shillong.
- The first stop is Bara Pani Lake (Umium Lake), the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya. It’s an ideal place for nature lovers and photo enthusiasts to relax and click photos. It is surrounded by Sylvan Hills which adds a picturesque beauty to the entire view.
- Next, explore the Shillong Peak which is located at the height of 6449 m above sea level. The timing of the peak is from 9 AM to 3:30 PM (except Wednesday). If you want to trek all the way up, it’s a two hour trek but the view is absolutely worth it.
- On the outskirts of Shillong, lies the lovely Elephant Falls which is a two-tier fall. It cascades on fern-covered rocks and forms a serene pool.The waterfall earned its name due to the presence of giant rock that resembled an elephant.
- Thereafter, visit Ward’s Lake) which is also known as Pollock Lake or Nan Polok. It is located in the centre of the city surrounded by a beautiful landscaped garden. Picnicking, boating, and strolling are some of the common activities to do here.
- You can also explore Police Bazar, the main and famous market area in Shillong. Collect some souvenirs and afterwards check-in your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Shillong to Cherrapunji & Sightseeing (56.3 km / 2 hours approx)
- On Day 2 of Meghalaya tour packages, eat a healthy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for 2 hours (approx.) ride to Cherrapunji.
- On your way to Cherrapunji, stop by Mawkdok Dympep Valley. Here you can relish the sweeping views of rolling hills and blue skies with floating clouds. You can enjoy adventure activities like ziplining (at your expense) or simply click photos of the picture views.
- After that visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest waterfall in not just Meghalaya, but all of India. The height of the waterfall is 340 metres (1115 feet) high. Its name translates to “Jump of Ka Likai'.
- Following that the awe-inspiring Seven Sister Falls (also known as the Nhangithiang Falls) awaits. It’s one of the most clickable waterfalls in Meghalaya. As the name suggests, there are seven falls that cascades side by side, making a spectacular display.
- The last attraction for the day is Mawsmai Cave which has underground pools, fossils, and interesting stalactites and stalagmites formations. This limestone cave features slow overhang and uneven terrain, so make sure to walk to keep a strong footing.

Day 03: Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong & Dawki Village (80.4 km/ 2 hours 40 mins approx)
- Freshen up and have your breakfast at the hotel in Cherrapunji. Post breakfast, our representative will pick you up to explore villages of Meghalaya: Mawlynnong & Dawki.
- The first stop is Dawki, located between the border of India and Bangladesh. It’s a beautiful hidden gem worth exploring. You can go boating on Umngot River, whose waters are crystal clear. Various other adventurous activities also take place in Dawki village.
- Driving towards East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, you will visit Mawlynnong. The sheer beauty and cleanliness of this village will blow your mind. - Lastly, head to Police Bazaar - the most famous market and try some street food, explore local restaurants, cafes and shopping marts. After that, you will head to the hotels for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Shillong for Full Day
- Begin your day with a delightful spread of breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast, you will be continuing your sightseeing tour in Shillong.
- The first stop will be Elephant Falls which is on the fringe of Shillong city. This beautiful two-tier waterfall forms by a mountain stream that cascades over fern-covered rocks. It’s one of the most serene attractions in Shillong.
- Then, visit Laitlum Canyon which is 24 kms from Shillong city centre. The word Laitlum Canyon translates to the End of the Hills. Here you will see the stretch of greenery that goes as far as the eye can see. The sight of the lush highlands will make you understand why Shillong is called the ‘Scotland of the East’.
- The last attraction for the day is Ward’s Lake which is surrounded by a botanical garden. The horse-shoe-shaped lake is ideal for boating and relaxing. A footover bridge, trees, and beautiful flowers like orchids enhance the beauty of this place.

Day 03: Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra) & Sightseeing (56.3 km / 2 hours approx)
- Nourish yourself with a healthy breakfast because you would be needing that to fuel yourself for hiking and cave explorations. Our tour representative will take you from Shillong towards Cherrapunji.
- Start your sightseeing with Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point/Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge. Here you can enjoy the zipline over the vast stretches of verdant valleys. Around this attraction, you will find small eateries, stalls selling roasted corn, and souvenir shops.
- Then visit Arwah Cave, which is a fascinating cavern known for limestone walls with fossils of marine life and crustaceans. Found in the East Khasi Hills, the cave has incredible stalagmites, stalactites and real fossils. Walk on concrete trails and use railings to walk inside the cave.
- Continue sightseeing by visiting the Garden of Caves or Ka Bri Ki Synrang. It is a tourist attraction in Meghalaya surrounded by virgin forests, waterfalls, creepers, and tranquillity like no other. This place is a heaven for nature lovers and those who like adventure.
- At last, wrap up your sightseeing tour by visiting the waterfalls in Cherrapunji. These waterfalls are Nohkalikai Falls (the tallest plunge in India). Following that, visit Dainthlen Falls that makes a thundering sound as they cascade from a height of 80 to 90 metres. Then visit the Weisawdong Falls which cascades from a height of 51 meters (167 feet).

Day 04: Cherrapunji (Sohra) to Mawlynnong & Dawki Village
- Have breakfast at the hotel and head to explore the two most beautiful villages in Meghalaya: Mawlynnong & Dawki.
- Mawlynnong is hailed as the one of the cleanest villages in Asia. Walk around in this idyllic village to see how beautifully its community has kept the village clean and beautiful. The functional toilets and bamboo dustbins are a part of every household. Plus smoking and use of plastic bags is strictly prohibited.
- After admiring the beauty of Mawlynnong, visit Nohwet Living Root Bridge which is 175 feet in length and made by weaving roots of rubber trees. The Khasi tribe is credited with the creation of Living Root Bridges.
- Then head to Dawki, a hidden gem on the India Bangladesh Border. The highlight of this village is Umngot River. Here you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and cliff jumping and boating.
- After this eventful day of sightseeing and connecting with Mother Nature, return to the hotel. Have dinner and enjoy an overnight stay in Dawki.

Day 01: Guwahati Airport/Train Station & Drive to Shillong (121.5 km / 3 hours approx)
- Touch down in Guwahati where our tour representative will meet and greet you at the Airport/Train Station. Get a smooth transfer from Guwahati to Shillong.
- On your way to Guwahati – Shillong highway, stop by Umiam Lake (Bara Pani Lake) surrounded by Sylvan hills. The lake is a popular recreational spot for water sport and adventure activities. Soak in the views and click photos around this lake.
- Afterwards, reach your hotel and check-in and relax for a while. After your relaxing break at the hotel, head out to visit Don Bosco Museum which houses exhibits displaying culture, tradition, and heritage of the indigenous people.
- After that, visit the Shillong Peak, which offers a bewitching panorama of Himalayan range, Bangladesh Plains, verdant stretches, and Shillong city. A hike to the highest point of Shillong peak takes about two hours.
- Spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar which is the go to place in Shillong for shopping and dining. Explore cafes, restaurants, souvenirs stores and try some local street food.
- Return to your hotel and catch a good sleep to wake up recharged for the next day.

Day 02: Shillong Sightseeing for All Day
- Before leaving for sightseeing, have your breakfast at the hotel and then continue exploring the rest of the top attractions in Shillong.
- Start off with Elephant Falls which is a beautiful waterfall that cascades down over fren covered moss and creates a small pond. The name of the waterfall was given by a British official after seeing an elephant-shaped rock near the waterfall. Click photos and soak in the views of nature around here.
- Next attraction in Laitlum Canyons which will have quite the resemblance of Scottish highlands. The lush green vegetation stretches as far as one can see and instantly soothes the soul. This place also gives incredible trails for hiking and viewpoints for photography.
- Ward’s Lake, also known as Pollock’s lake is a famous tourist site in Shillong. The manicured garden around the lake is equally beautiful, if not more. Boating, picnicking, strolling, photography are the best things to try here.
- Return to hotel for dinner at overnight stay.

Day 03: Drive from Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra) (56.3 km / 2 hours approx)
- Have breakfast at the hotel and complete the check out process. Thereafter, our tour manager will drive you from Shillong to Cherrapunji.
- Take a stop over on Shillong - Cherrapunji Road and witness Mawkdok Dympep Valley view point. This V-shaped valley is carpeted with greenery and offers views of nature. You can try ziplining here which is about 1200 ft. long (at your own expense) and get refreshments from nearby stalls and eateries.
- Wah Kaba Waterfalls is a spectacular waterfall that cascades from a steep rockface into a deep gorge. The thundering sounds of the waterfall hitting the rocks can be heard from a distance.
- Next is Arwah Cave which is a limestone cave made of fascinating rock formations of stalagmites, stalactites, and marine fossils. You will find water droplets dripping from the low overhangs in the caves. This cave is a perfect example of geological artistry.
- The Dain-Thlen Falls cuts through the hard rocks of the hills before it cascades down in verdant forests. According to folklore, a great battle was fought where a giant serpent who was the embodiment of evil was defeated.
- Wei-Sawdong Falls is a three-tiered waterfall that cascades and clear blue water ponds at each tier. It is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in all of Meghalaya and is surrounded by lush greenery.
- After all the cave exploration and waterfall visits, it is time to head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Cherrapunji (Sohra) to Nongriat Excursion
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for an expedition from Cherrapunji (Sohra) to Nongriat. You will cover a short distance of 12.2 km via Sohra-Laitkynsew Rd and it takes about 30 minutes to reach.
- The first attraction for day 4 is Nohkalikai Waterfalls which translates to the “Jump of Ka Likai”. It is the tallest plunge in India and fourth largest in the world and has a heart-wrenching lore attached to it. The waterfalls form a beautiful pond where you can stop by and take in the enchanting view.
- Visit the valley where you will descend to find the double-decker root bridge, built by the Khasi tribe by weaving together the roots of rubber trees. And if time allows you can also visit the Rainbow waterfall.
- If hiking down isn’t something you want to do then you can visit the Seven Sisters Falls in Nongriat Village and other offbeat attractions.
- Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Cherrapunji .

Day 05: Pynursla & Shnongpdeng to Dawki with O/N stay (31.0 km / 1 hours 6 mins)
- Start your day at the hotel with an early breakfast and leave for Pynursla which is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.
- Then take a detour and visit Mawkyrnot to explore some more Living Root Bridges. These root bridges are significant from an environment, cultural and religious standpoint.
- Take the route of Pynursla which will lead you to Dawki. It is an offbeat location but gaining massive popularity among tourists visiting Meghalaya. Later, drive to Shnongpdeng which has many riverside camps and adventure activities.
- The day ends with your return to Dawki for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Departure from Dawki to Guwahati Airport/Train Station & Departure
- Greet the new day in Meghalaya and watch a beautiful sunset. Nourish yourself with a breakfast buffet at the hotel and afterwards our representative will drive you from Dawki to Shillong, and then towards Guwahati Airport/Train Station.
