Day 01: Guwahati Airport/Train Station - Kaziranga National Park (225 Km/ 4 hr 25 mins approx)
- Arrive in Guwahati (airport/train station) and get a smooth transfer to Kaziranga by our tour manager. You will see a mix of rural and urban sights, tea gardens, farmlands, and bamboo groves among other vegetation.
- Check-in your stay at Kaziranga and take time to relax that will help you unwind from the travel fatigue. The rest of the evening is free for leisure. You can go around and explore the area and return to the hotel for dinner.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Kaziranga.

Day 02: Kaziranga National Park Tour
- Wake up early in the morning to visit one of the most famous attractions in Assam, Kaziranga National Park. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected home for Indian one-horned rhinosceros.
- While touring the Kaziranga National Park you can spot elephants, wild buffalo, swamp deer, sambhar and if you’re lucky you may even spot a tiger.
- Other animals at Kaziranaga National Park include wild boars, hog deer, sloth bears, Assamese macaques and a variety of storks.
- Afterwards, head back to the hotel and have your breakfast and relax at the hotel.
- In the afternoon, you will go for a jeep safari in different zones of the park. This will give you an understanding of different ecosystems and animals and birds that thrive within these environments.
- Thereafter, return to your accommodation, have dinner and stay the night.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park to Shillong Transfer (267 km/ 5 hrs 30 mins approx.)
- Welcome the next morning in Kaziranga with a healthy breakfast at the hotel.
- Complete your check out from the hotel and get a seamless transfer to the Shillong, capital of Meghalaya. The distance between the two destinations is approximately 267 km and the ride will be of 5 hours 30 minutes.
- On your way stop by Umium Lake, which is an attractive photo site and a recreational spot. Then continue your journey towards Shillong and check in your hotel.
- The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You can go shopping or dining in the markets of Shillong. This place also has some cosy cafes and a vibrant music scene to explore — in short, whatever floats your boat.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and get restful sleep to wake up energised the next day.

Day 04: Trip to Cherrapunji & Return to Shillong (57 km/2 hrs approx.)
- Have your breakfast at the hotel and be ready for another road trip. Our tour manager will pick you up from the hotel. On day 4 of your trip, you will be visiting Cherrapunji, the wettest place on earth.
- The first attraction on the list is Nohkalikai Falls, which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India and the fourth highest waterfall in the world. It is a popular attraction in Cherrapunji for nature lovers, experience seekers, photo enthusiasts, and adventurers.
- Then we will move to explore Mawsmai Cave. It is a rugged cave made of limestones with low overhangs and features an uneven terrain. One must wear sturdy shoes and keep a strong footing while walking inside the cave.
- On your way back to Shillong, stop by Elephant Falls. It’s a small two-tier waterfall cascading in the dells of fern-covered rocks and forms a serene pool in which you can dip your feet. Click some photos of yourself while admiring the beauty of the waterfall.
- Last but not least, watch sweeping views of lush vegetation, hills, clouds and views of Shillong city from Shillong Peak. The fresh mountain air, blue skies and floating clouds will refresh your mind. After that, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Departure from Guwahati
- Have breakfast at the hotel and if time permits, visit the famousKamakhya Devi Templelocated at Nilachal Hill. The temple is one of the many shakti peethas and a place of pilgrimage for many visitors.

Day 01: Guwahati Airport/Train Station - Kaziranga National Park (225 Km/ 4 hr 25 mins approx)
- Welcome to Assam, known as the Gateway of NorthEast. After your arrival at Assam airport/train station, our tour manager will escort you to your pre-booked hotel in Kaziranga.
- Enjoy a pleasing drive from the airport toward Kaziranga. In between you will see farmlands, townships, tea gardens and a mosaic of urban and rural sights before you finally reach your hotel.
- After reaching the hotel, check in and settle in. Unpack your bags, have a coffee and take some rest. In the evening, you may go out to explore the surrounding permitted areas.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Kaziranga National Park Tour
- Start your day early for an elephant safari in the Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Kaziranga National Park is a haven for the Indian one-horned rhinos. In 2022, a total of 2,613 rhinos were recorded (including adult and calves) in the park. So chances of spotting a rhino grazing on the land are quite high.
- While enjoying the elephant safari in Kaziranga, you can spot the “Big Five” animals which are Indian rhinoceros, Indian elephant, Royal Bengal tiger, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Apart from that you can also spot sambhar deer, wild board, sloth, langurs, etc.
- After this safari, return to the hotel and have your breakfast and take a nap, if you will. In the afternoon, go for a jeep safari and watch the remaining zones of the KNP. Birdwatchers must delight as there are a total of 478 bird species which include storks and the Great India Hornbill.
- After this fulfilling and enlightening trip to Kaziranga National Park, return to the hotels or diner and stay the night.

Day 03: Drive from KNP to Shillong (267 km/ 5 hrs 30 mins approx)
- Welcome the new day in Kaziranga and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast check out and proceed towards Shillong. The distance between KNP to Shillong is 267 km and takes 5 hours 30 minutes.
- Shillong is called the ‘Scotland of the East’ and you will understand this when you reach there. Many highlands of Shillong appear like the vast Scottish highlands with lush greenery and cool climate.
- Take in the scenery of Shillong and admire its rolling hills, valleys and quaint villages. Following that, you will reach Umium Lakewhich is known for its crystal clear waters. Enjoy a boat ride here and admire the natural beauty which is all around you.
- Afterwards, the remaining day is for you to explore the sounds and sights of Shillong. You can explore Police Bazar or Bhutia Market and try some street food.

Day 04: Journey towards Cherrapunji (57 km/ 2 hrs approx)
- Treat yourself to a warm and delicious breakfast at the hotel and recharge yourself. Today, you will be heading to Cherrapunji (Sohra), hailed as the wettest place on earth.
- The gorgeousNohkalikai Falls will be the first attraction of the day. It is the tallest waterfall in India casting at a height of 1115 feet (340 meters). The word “Noh” means jump in Khasi hence the name ‘Ka Likai' is of a woman whose legend is associated with the waterfall.
- Next, head towards Mawsmai Caves that features stalactites and stalagmites rocks The low overhangs and rugged terrain of the caves can make walking a bit challenging so ensure a strong footing while crossing the cave.
- Elephant Falls is a beautiful two-tier waterfall creating a small pond. The shape of the rock near the falls looked like a giant elephant to a British office (during colonial era), and hence it came to be known as Elephant Falls.
- And just a short distance away lies the Shillong Peak located at a height of 1970 m above sea level. It is the highest peak in Shillong and offers sweeping views of the hills, city, and clear skies. Needless to say, it’s a great photo point as well.

Day 05: Shillong Outing and Drive to Guwahati (98 km/ 2 hours 17 mins)
- Greet the morning sun in Shillong and relish a delicious breakfast at the hotel. On day 5 of your trip, you will be covering some more sightseeing in Shillong.
- Start off with Don Bosco Museum which showcases exhibits regarding social, cultural, historical and indigenous of the people of North East India. The timing of the museum is from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Ward’s Lake is a beautiful tourist attraction in Shillong located under a landscape graden. The lake has a foot-over bridge and you can enjoy boating on the lake with peace and tranquillity all around.
- Later, travel to Guwahati and stay the night at the hotel

Day 06: Departure from Guwahati
- Have an early breakfast at the hotel and get ready to visit Kamakhya Temple, a holy pilgrimage site in Assam. The temple opens from 5:30 am to 1pm and 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm. Based on your departure time, we can adjust the time to visit the temple.
- Afterwards, our tour manager will drop you at Guwahati Airport/train station from where you will leave for home. The tour ends here and we part our ways. eSikkim Tourism hopes to serve you again with another exciting Assam tour.

Day 01: Arrive in Guwahati and Transfer to Kaziranga National Park (225 km/ 4 hours approx)
- After your arrival at Guwahati train station/ airport, our tour manager will meet and greet you and escort you to your accommodation in Kaziranaga.
- Enjoy the scenic drive from the train station/ airport and watch the views of tea gardens, hamlets, semi-urban areas, and farmland. After reaching the hotel, check-in and relax.
- The evening is free for you to explore the permitted areas nearby, but make sure to return before it gets dark. Enjoy a dinner at the hotel and get a restful sleep in your cosy and pleasant room.

Day 02: Kaziranga National Park Safari
- Begin your day early for not one but two types of safari in Kaziranga National Park. The first one is an elephant safari that is exciting and adventurous.
- Kaziranga National Park (KNP) is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the famous one-horned rhino which is synonymous with the identity of Assam.
- Use a pair of binoculars and spot the “Big Five” animals of KNP. These animals are Indian rhinoceros, Indian elephant, Royal Bengal tiger, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer.
- It is also common for visitors to spot sambhar deer, wild board, sloth, langurs, etc. Now, you may not be able to spot all the animals such as the Royal Bengal tiger, but there is always something incredible to spot in the park.
- Take a break from a safari and return to the hotel for breakfast. Satisfy your hunger pangs and take a nap to relax and recharge yourself. In the afternoon, head out for a jeep safari which is exciting on its own.
- After a day full of animal and bird spotting and interacting with the natural world, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Drive towards Shillong (267 km/5 hrs 30 mins approx)
- Next morning, have breakfast and stay ready for a road trip to Shillong, hailed as "Scotland of the East”. Shillong’s rolling hills and lush highland have a similar appearance to the Scottish highland, greenery and cool climate.
- On your way to the hotel, stop by Umiam Lake which is about 15 km north of Shillong. It is surrounded by pine trees and verdant hills, creating a tranquil environment. Take some photos here and soak in the beauty of nature.
- Upon reaching the hotel, check in and relax. The remaining day/evening is free for you to go to Shillong and experience the local vibe. You can explore markets and cafes, and souvenir stores in Shillong or try some tasty street food.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Trip to Cherrapunji by Road (57 km/ 2 hrs approx)
- Wake up early and watch the sunrise in Shillong, it’s absolutely beautiful. After refreshing yourself, have breakfast. Our tour manager will take you to Cherrapunji by road. It is well-known as the wettest place on the planet. Just the sheer greenery of this place soothes one’s mind and soul.
- First attraction for the day is Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest waterfall in all of India and fourth tallest in the world. The beautiful falls cascades from a height of 1,115 feet and a heart-wrenching legend associated with it.
- Next, visit the Mawsmai caves and explore the limestone formations. The cave features low overhangs and an uneven terrain that poses a challenge while walking but that’s where the adventure lies.
- The final two attractions are Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, both of which are incredibly beautiful and top photo spots in Shillong.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Get a restful night’s sleep to wake up fresh for the next day of escapades.

Day 05: From Cherrapunjee to Dawki & Mawlynnong (84.2 km/ 2 hrs 47 mins approx)
- Start your day with an early breakfast and with our tour manager leave for Dawki. It’s a beautiful village between India and Bangladesh. The highlight of this village is Wah Umngot, a beautiful and serene river. Many people swim in the shallow sides of its water or dip their feet to banish fatigue.
- The next sight is Mawlynnong, which is regarded as “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Spectacular greenery and a commitment to keep the place litter-free is what makes this village glorious. Here you can also visit the sacred forest and one of the famous Living Root Tree bridges.
- After this sightseeing, head back to Shillong, have dinner at a hotel and get restful sleep.

Day 06: Shillong to Guwahati Transfer (98 kms/ 2 hrs 17 mins approx.)
- Start your day with a nice breakfast buffet at the hotel and head out to explore more sights of Shillong.
- Visit the famous Don Bosco Museum which preserves and exhibits art, history, culture and traditions of the indigenous people. The displays and exhibits offer deep insights into the life and culture of indigenous people.
- Next, head to Ward’s Lake, a recreational place where you can try boating and enjoy a relaxing time. Afterwards, we head for Guwahati, the largest city in Assam.
- You can also go for an optional Golden Sunset Cruise on Brahamapura river or stay at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07: Departure from Guwahati
- Eat an early breakfast at the hotel and get ready to visit Kamakhya Temple, a holy pilgrimage site in Assam. It is also among the most significant Shakti Peethas in Hindu religion. The temple opens from 5:30 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm. Based on your departure time, we can adjust the time to visit the temple.

The displays and exhibits offer deep insights into the life and culture of indigenous people.Afterwards, our tour manager will drop you at Guwahati Airport/train station from where you will leave for home.
