How to Reach Assam?

By air: Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) is the main gateway, about 20 km from the city, with daily flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru and other cities. For the tea belt and upper Assam, the airports at Dibrugarh (DIB) and Jorhat (JRH) are closer to where you’ll actually be.

By train: Guwahati is a major railhead on the Northeast Frontier Railway, with trains from most large Indian cities; Kamakhya and Dibrugarh are useful stations too. In the winter season the good classes fill early, so book ahead.
