Therefore, we have a plan for you in which you can refresh yourself by spending an entire week in the lap of nature. Moreover, this itinerary will take you to spectacular spots which include Phuentsholing, a perfect amalgamation of traditional and modern lifestyle, Thimphu, the place of cultural values and identity, and Paro, the valley of picturesque views.

Itinerary

On the very first day of your trip, our representative will greet you with happiness at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport. The representative will further assist your transfer to the magnificent landscape of Phuentsholing. In this 5 hours long drive, you will come across the awe-inspiring sceneries that will turn out to be a treat to your eyes. As soon as you cover the distance and reach Phuentsholing, situated at an altitude of 961 ft, you will see the marvellous view as you roll your eyes from one side to the other. Moreover, this place is a prosperously growing commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. After your arrival in this city of different ethnic groups, you will be taken to a luxurious pre-booking hotel where you can unwind yourself from all the tiredness of travelling.

As the sun rises in the morning of the second day of your tour, you will be served hot-piping breakfast after which you first have to complete all the facilities of immigration. Thereafter, you will pay your visit to the capital of the country Thimphu which is located at 7,710 ft above sea level and is one of the most intriguing destinations across the world. After you cover the 176 km through a long drive of 6 hours, you will be allotted a mesmerizing hotel that will offer a majestic view of the heart of Bhutan. Moreover, for the rest of the day, you can refresh overnight and prepare yourself from the awaiting adventure.

The third day would be the most exciting one because today you will get to see the beautiful side of Bhutan as you visit various tourist spots. Have your delectable breakfast at the hotel after which you will be taken to amazing places of Thimphu. The first destination of the day would be Kuensel Phodrang, also referred to as Buddha Point, is a resting place of a giant Shakyamuni Buddha Statue amidst mountain beauty. The next stop would be National Memorial Chorten where you will be fascinated by the traditional Tibetan architecture. After that, you will be taken to Folk Heritage Museum that replicates a traditional farmhouse because it is made with timber and is furnished just like it used to be centuries back.

Besides Folk Heritage Museum, you will visit Sangaygang View Point which can be described as a picture perfect location because of the scenic beauty, Changangkha Monastery which was established in the 12th century with certain traditional values as it is the place where parents pay their call to take away the auspicious blessings for their newborns, and Takin Preserve Centre that is home to exotic species of animals including the national animal of Bhutan. Later that day, you will be driven to Tashichho Dzong which is renowned as a symbol of glorious religion as it is the place of coronation of the fifth king and the centre of vibrant Tsechu Festivities.

As the sun sets down, you will be taken back to your hotel where you can relax into the tranquillizing environment throughout the night.

On the fourth day, you will be transferred to the splendid location of Paro which is at an altitude of 7483 ft. Have your hearty Bhutanese breakfast at the hotel because today you need to have a lot of energy to explore every corner of the place. In the middle of your way to Paro, you can visit Tamchog Lhakhang which is standing proudly since the 13th century as a wonderful creation of the Iron Bridge Builder, Saint Thangthong Gyalpo. Moreover, to reach the temple, tourists need to cross the iron bridge made in the ancient architectural style that will give you a thrilling experience and an outstanding view of the hills. As soon as you arrive in Paro, you can unwind yourself in the tranquillizing aura of your hotel room till the afternoon because you will be visiting spectacular places today.

Around 2 o’clock, you will go to see Ta Dzong, aka National Museum, which was built in 1649 with the purpose of protecting the unprotected Dzong. Today, this place is counted among must-visit places of Bhutan because tourists can witness the idiosyncratic artefacts, religious Thangkha, excellent relics, and much more. Furthermore, the next destination of the day would be Rinpung Dzong which can be described as a wonderful example of the traditional architecture of Bhutan. This “fortress of the heap of jewels” offers the spiritual and peaceful environment to the visitors and, at present, it serves the seat for administrative and judicial of Paro.

Later that day, you will come back to the hotel where you can spend the night n the warmth of the luxurious room and rejuvenate yourself for the second last day of your expedition.

As the fifth day begins, you will be served scrumptious breakfast after which you will be heading towards hiking at Taktsang Monastery. Hiking into the gorgeous beauty of mountains to reach this Tiger’s Nest is the must-do activity that should be in every traveller’s bucket list, especially if you are travelling at this paradise for the first time. Besides Taktsang Monastery, you must visit Drukgyel Dzong which recognized as one of the most amazing archaeological sites by UNESCO World Heritage Center. Apart from being the fortress, this glorious place used to be a magnificent Buddhist Monastery. Nonetheless, the ruins of the place justify beautiful history which is one of the oldest monasteries of the country where locals arrive to attract blessings, especially for their wedding.

By the evening, you will be brought back to the hotel where you can de-stress yourself and pack your stuff because tomorrow you have to leave to catch your flight on time.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and set your luggage in the vehicle as you have to go back to your daily routine. On the way to Paro Airport, recollect all the memories and soak into the beauty of Bhutan for the last time.
