Every traveller should pay their visit to this magnificent country at least once in their lifetime because the unspoiled beauty and historical excellence will leave you speechless. So, here we are with a splendid package that covers many amazing places in the country. Starting from Phuentsholing which is known as the thriving commercial centre of the place, and travelling across Thimpu which is the capital city of the country, Wangdue which is the place of valley and Dzong, and, finally, Paro that is all about Buddhist traditional. Moreover, one can replace your stay in Wangdue with Punakha, the scenic destination in Bhutan.

Itinerary

To travel in Bhutan, first, you need to travel to Siliguri in West Bengal where our representative will greet you with open arms. As soon as you step out of NJP Railway station or IXB Aiport, our representative will assist your transfer to the magical country, Bhutan. On the way to this paradise for nature lovers, you will come across mesmerizing sceneries of the Himalayan range. Further, after 5 hours of a long drive, you will enter the busiest city of Bhutan, Phuentsholing, situated at an altitude of 293 meters, which is also known as the commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian plains. By the end of the day, you have a beautiful room at a luxurious hotel where you can unwind yourself from all the travelling.

Wake up to the pretty view of Phuentsholing and have to hot piping breakfast that will be served in the hotel room itself. The first thing to do today would be to complete all the formalities of immigration to travel safely across the country. The next thing to do is take your luggage and move to the heavenly land of Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan, which is approximately 7.700 ft above sea level. After a long drive of 6 hours, you will be given a pre-booked room in a hotel that would have a tranquillizing ambience. Besides, if you are too eager to explore the place, you can pay your visit to Tashichho Dzong that has been the seat of the government since 1952 and also known as the Fortress of the glorious Buddhist religion.

As the sun sets, come back to the hotel and spend the night in the warmth of the room.

As the third day of your expedition begins, you will be served delectable morning meal. Afterwards, you will be taken to majestic location Kuensel Phodrang which is renowned for a gigantic statue of Lord Buddha. People from different place arrive Thimphu just to pray at this blessed place. The next stop of the day would be National Memorial Chorten, a prominent monument in Thimphu and a daily place of worship for locals, followed by Folk Heritage Museum that will represent you the insights of Buddhist traditions and culture.

In the midday, it is time to say adieu to this marvellous place because you will be shifting to the kingdom of heaven, Punakha or Wangdue Phodrang. Passing through the Dochu-La-Pass, 10.170 ft above sea level, that will make you soak into the pleasant allurement of the Great Himalayan snow-covered mountains. While passing through this magnificent place, you must pay your call at Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chortens which is an astoundingly beautiful site because here you will find 108 Chortens or stupas.

While you arrive at charming land of Punakha or Wangdue which are located at an altitude of 4298 ft, you will spend the night at a stunning hotel with amazing aura.

It is the fourth day of your tour and also the most wonderful of all because today you will visit a few places where you can create many unforgettable memories. Have your scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and explore this exquisite site. Also, do not forget to take your bags with you because you would not be coming back to the hotel to pick them up.

So, the first destination of the day would be Punakha Dzong which is the most spectacular Dzong of the country without any doubt. Known as the second Dzong built in Bhutan, this Dzong served as the seat of the government until 1952 and was originally known as Druk Phungthang Dechen Phodrang that literally means the ‘Palace of great happiness’. Later, you will visit the splendid location Chhimi Lhakhang, the most famous temple of Bhutan, that was constructed by the ‘divine madman’, Lama Drukpa Kuenley. After covering a small distance via trekking, you will arrive at the Lhakhang, known as the ‘Fertility temple’, where many childless couples visit and tourists from across the world arrive just to witness the unusual ceremonies and traditions performed here.

By the noon time, you will leave this picturesque location and move to Paro, the site with glorious history, sacred locations, and verdant valley. Post a long drive of 5 long hours, check in at the retreat, have appetizing dinner and relax till the next morning.

This is the fifth and second last day of your trip and you should make the best out of it. Have you mouth-watering breakfast and get energized because today everything would be about sightseeing. Commence your expedition with Ta Dzong was built in 1649 with a purpose to protect the Dzong. This place is also called the National Museum of Bhutan because it holds many idiosyncratic artefacts and structures that are associated with Bhutanese culture. Subsequently, you will pay your visit to Rinpung Dzong or Paro Dzong that has very spiritual importance in the lives of locals. Moreover, this Dzong is also the seat for the administration of the district which makes it even more special place to be visited.

During midday, you will be taken to another striking Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong, which is recognized as one of the most wonderful sites by UNESCO World Heritage Center. Built in 1649, this Dzong was the importance base ad defence until 1951 because it was destroyed by fire. Nonetheless, the place has been preserving its heritage and history with pride. The final tourist attraction of the day would be Kyichu Lhakhang that is seen as one of the oldest temples of the country as it was built in 659 by the King of Tibet, Sangtsen Gampo.

As the night comes, return to the hotel in Paro, relax, and pack your bags as you will be living the next morning.

It is your last day in the happiest country across the world because today, you will go back to your routine life. While heading towards Paro Airport, recollect all the memories and unforgettable moments you have made in Bhutan as it will stay with you forever.
