How can I reach Bhutan from India for my Bhutan travel?

There are two convenient ways of reaching Bhutan from India.

  • By Air – You can take a direct flight from Kolkata to Paro. Bhutan has only one international airport which is Paro International Airport. There are connecting flights to Paro from other cities i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati and Bagdogra.
  • By Road – You can take a bus, private taxi, or private vehicle from Bagdogra in India to reach Phuentsholing in Bhutan which is only 170 km away. In order to travel via this route, you will need to show an ‘entry permit’ in Phuentsholing. You can obtain the same from the Immigration Office of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
