Radhi Village
Visit the Radhi village in Bhutan during the agricultural season; you will surely get soaked with the rich golden colour of the never-ending paddy fields! Yes, such is the beauty of this scenic village in Bhutan’s Trashigang region, and this also makes this hamlet one of the most picturesque tourist attractions in Bhutan. Due to this, Radhi Village is adorably called as the ‘Rice Bowl of the East’.
Well, if you happen to visit the Radhi Village during the non-agricultural season, you could be a witness to how the village locals weave on of the most renowned silks here. The village has a total of around 200 households. During non-agricultural seasons, you could see members of all these houses engaged in weaving a unique silk called the ‘Bura Silk’. The villagers even use the traditional back-strap loom and dyes to make this silk, which is one of the most sought-after silk varieties in the entire Bhutan.
