A night in Kedarnath is of no value if you do not wake up before dawn and attend the morning rituals at the temple. So, head to the temple as early as 4 a.m. and partake in all the first rituals. It is also a beautiful place to do meditation. The rhythmic hymning of mantras will bring you immense peace.

The ritual is to take a dip at the Taptkund. It is necessary to do so before you enter the Badrinath temple. The kund is a hot water sulphur spring that is considered miraculous as the river flowing alongside is ice-cold.

Next, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Mana village where the Indo-Mongolian tribe reside. Spend time exploring the fields, chatting with locals and take a glimpse of their culture. It is also the last Indian village settlement before Tibet. Bhum Pul is set on the other end of Mana village where a massive rock forming a natural bridge. The roaring Saraswati river flows right below and it is a breath-taking sight to see.

Then, visit the Vyas Gufa. It is also set close to the Mana village. The Vyas Gufa is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is said to have written the Mahabharata and the puranic commentaries.

Visit the Narsingh Temple that is dedicated to Lord Narasimha. The idol is in the form of half lion and half man. It is said to be the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Continue your drive to the stunning town of Rudraprayag. On arrival, check in at the hotel to spend the overnight here.
