Chardham Yatra From Assam

Our elders have stated that the Chardham tour package from Assam is one of the easiest ways for Hindus to attain nirvana. Uttarakhand is home to the most revered temples of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The scenic beauty of the temples and surrounding Himalayan mountains will further add to the charm of your journey. You can experience the vibrancy of our holy culture thoroughly.

The trip rejuvenates your senses and to make sure that happens in an easy and smooth way, we have listed down very important factors that you must take into consideration while planning your jatra.

How To Reach

Since there are no direct trains from Assam to Haridwar or Rishikesh which are the preferred commencement points of the Chardham yatra, we suggest to opt for the next best option of flight. There are several direct and connecting flights from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati and you can choose to fly into either Delhi or the Dehradun airports. A round trip should cost you about INR 15,000 and from the airport, you can travel via road in a cab or bus that can be available from the arrival point. If you choose to drive down, opt for a route that will take you straight to Haridwar or Rishikesh. The best route is to take the National Highway number 27 and drive down for about 40 hours to get to Haridwar or Rishikesh.

Best Time to Book Chardham Tour Package from Assam

The best time to visit Uttarakhand’s Chardham destinations of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri would be its peak season, that is summer from April to June. The weather remains pleasant during this time and it is ideal for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor activities.

The destination never looks more beautiful than it does in summer. That is because the show that blankets the regions finally start to melt away making the land lush and green. September and October are also great months for people who like a bit cold climate and want to avoid massive crowds. The only two seasons you cannot plan your Chardham package from Assam in is July and August and from November to March. That is because July and August receive heavy rainfall which causes landslides and November to March sees extreme winters. The snow causes the roads to get blocked and the shrines are closed for visitors.
