You can also hop in a shared taxi to cut a few kilometres of the route or choose to ride the chopper as well.

Once you make it to Govindghat, check in at the hotel, eat and freshen up and use the rest of the day for leisure activities.

In the morning after breakfast, put on your comfortable shoes and start your trek to this pristine place. The route is filled with adventure owing to dense forestlands, waterfalls and bridges to cross.

The Valley of Flowers is home to an array of exotic and rare Himalayan flora and fauna. It is set at the conversion point of Western and Eastern Himalayas. Unspoiled by human invasions, this baroque of flowers is a praiseworthy watch spectacle.

This diverse area also houses rare and endangered animals such as the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear, musk deer, red fox and blue sheep.

In the evening, trek back and reach the hotel in Govindghat to spend the overnight.

First, head to the Badrinath temple. A small ritual of bathing in the Tap Kund must be followed before you enter the temple. It is a hot water spring having curative properties. Then visit the temple dedicated to the protector and preserver, Lord Vishnu. The Maha Abhishek Pooja held here is one of the major highlights.

Next, visit the Mana village and Bhim Pul. Mana village is a scenic settlement and home to Indo-Mongolian tribe.
Bhim Pul is set at a nearby distance. It is a large rock that forms a natural bridge.

Lastly, visit the Vyas Gufa which is also situated in close proximity. Legends say that this is where Ved Vyas wrote the Mahabharata.

Return back to the hotel and spend a comfortable night in Badrinath.
