Itinerary

Your trip commences with arrival at the New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport. Here, a representative from our team will greet you and you will embark on a scenic drive to Gangtok.

The drive to Gangtok will have you encounter various hot springs while you travel through excellent hiking trails and stunning forests. While you are at it, enjoy the panoramic views of the colossal Kanchenjunga mountain ranges as well.

Upon reaching the hotel, check in and relax. The rest of the day will be at your will to explore.

Spend the overnight comfortably at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Perched at an elevation of 12,400 feet, the second day of this tour will take you to the Changu or Tsomgo Lake.

After relishing a healthy breakfast at the hotel, take a 3-hour drive to reach atop where the lake is proudly set in all its glory. The enticing beauty of this high-altitude glacial lake must be explored. The Sikkimese people consider the water body sacred and in the olden days, the lamas studied the colour of the water and predicted the future.

Then, head to the Baba Mandir. A shrine dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, an ex-Sentry of Punjab Regiment, this too is located at a striking height of 13,200 feet. It is said that he fell into a stream and drowned. He appeared in the dreams of his fellow mates and asked them to make a memorial on his name here. His soul is believed to be protecting the border. It is mandatory for army officials to pay their respects here.

An optional tour to Nathula Pass can also be arranged for if you wish, at an extra cost. It connects India to China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. It is amongst the highest passes reachable by travellers via motorable road.

Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.

Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel in Gangtok and proceed towards Lachung. The valley is most popularly known for its dense pine forests, waterfalls and hot springs.

En-route, visit Singhik viewpoint. Surrounded by lush green hills, you can see the confluence of Kanaka and Teesta rivers from there and enjoy views of the massive Kanchenjunga ranges and the mighty Mt. Siniolchu. The area also houses numerous interesting short nature trails for adventure lovers.

Then, head to see the Seven Sisters Waterfall. It is a set of seven different waterfalls that are harmoniously arranged on a widespread cliff. They seem to be seven different cascades if watched from a distance. The view when they fall carelessly over the limestones with a thunderous sound is worth watching.

Continue driving to Lachung then after. On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy some delicious local delicacy. Spend the overnight at the hotel in Lachung.

The extremely picturesque Yumthang Valley, which means ‘The Valley of Flowers’ is situated at an elevation of 11,800 feet. Get bewitched by the breath-taking beauty of Yumthang on this day of your Gangtok Lachung Pelling tour package.

After having a stomach-filling breakfast, start your day early by checking out from the hotel in Lachung and proceed towards the Yumthang Valley. It is a nature’s wonderland owing to the shrubby slopes of the snow-covered mountain peaks, flowery meadows and the fragranced environment. You can also visit the hot springs that are considered to have medicinal curative properties.

Enjoy a short stopover at the Bheema and Twin Falls before heading to Gangtok. Surrounded by varieties of Rhododendron trees, both these cascades are famous spots in Lachung. It is famous as a picknick spot and also for hiking among adventure lovers.

An optional tour to the Zero Point can be arranged for on request and at an additional cost. Set at
an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level, civilians are barred from going any further than this point as the international border of China lies only a few meters ahead.

After sightseeing, continue your journey to Gangtok. On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the overnight in the comfort of the cosy room.

On this day of the tour, you will check out from the hotel in Gangtok and drive to Pelling. This hill station provides for most spectacular sights you can imagine in the state. It is bounded by attractive flora such as primula, poppy and rhododendron.

Take a quick diversion towards Namchi where you can visit the Namchi Char Dham Temple and Samdruptse Statue. A 26½ m high statue of Lord Shiva marks the Namchi Char Dham Temple. It also houses replicas of twelve Jyotirlingas which makes it one of the top tourist destinations in Sikkim, and especially between the disciples of Lord Shiva.

The Samdruptse statue is set on a hill at an altitude of 7000 feet. It is a 45 m tall statue that overlooks the entire city.

After that, proceed further to Ravangla where you can visit the famous Buddha Park and Temi Tea Gardens. A 130 – foot high statue of Lord Buddha is erected at the Park and fenced in by lush eco gardens. You can also witness an uninterrupted view of the Cho Djo Lake and the mountains from here.

The Temi Tea Gardens are the only ones in Sikkim and considered to be one of the best in India and also in the world. It is laid over a gradually sloping hill.

After sightseeing, proceed to Pelling. On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Start your day early yet again and treat your stomach to a healthy breakfast meal. Prepare for some local sightseeing in Pelling.

First, head to the Darap Valley. It offers a serene environment and has become a famous spot among travellers owing to its sustainable tourism practices. Indulge in conversations with local people and gain knowledge about the village life in Sikkim.

After you tete-a-tete with the villagers, visit the Rimbi waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga waterfalls. These pristine cascades are assumed to be originating high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga.

Then, proceed to visit the Rock Garden and the Khecheopalri Lake. The Rock garden is an ideal spot for picnickers. This place is studded with pools, gardens and zigzagging footpaths.
Take a stroll and bask in the views of the beautiful stream that runs over big and small rocks.

The Khecheopalri Lake is one of the most sacred lakes in Pelling and is also a holy pilgrimage site. It is alleged to fulfil one’s wishes. Beautiful, clean and placid to explore, it is set amidst a thick bushy forest.

Next, visit the Rabdentse Ruins, Pema Yangtse monastery and the Helipad Ground. The ruins are a must see for the history-enthusiasts who wish to dig into the state’s glorious past. The ruins also provide its visitors with a splendid view of the Kanchenjunga Range.

The Pema Yangtse monastery floors are ornamented with statuaries, paintings and ancient scriptures. The main statue of Guru Padmasambhava housed in the monastery is magnificent.

The Helipad Ground offers spectacular views of the Kanchenjunga mountain peak and the gushing river that flows through the foothills.

Return to the hotel in the evening and stay overnight.
