Day 01 Arrival at Bagdogra Airport, Drive from Bagdogra to Gangtok (123 km / 3 Hours)
Day Schedule: After you arrive at the Bagdogra Airport (in West Bengal), you will be warmly greeted by our friendly guides and representatives, who will then drive you to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. While in the city, check-in into a hotel and pamper yourself with the scenic ambience of Gangtok and enjoy its alluring charm for the rest of the day; overnight stay will be in the hotel.
Day 02 Biking from Gangtok – Ranka – Martam (29 km)
Day Schedule: Day Schedule: On the first day of your exhilarating mountain biking trail, you will be riding down the slopes from Gangtok and continue to Ranka. Located around 14km from Gangtok, Ranka is one of the least explored or visited places in Sikkim. Here onwards, you will be biking uphill through the pious Rumtek Monastery and reach Martam; overnight stay will be arranged in a local hotel in Martam.
Day 03 Biking from Martam to Sirwani (30 km)
Day Schedule: Starting from Martam, you will be completing a trail of 30km today. The cycling route for the day will take you through the scenic terraced paddy fields of the region and continue downhill to reach Sirwani, a sleepy settlement in the eastern parts of Sikkim. Arriving in Sirwani, overnight camps will be pitched alongside the gurgling Teesta River.
Day 04 Biking from Sirwani to Temi (27 km)
Day Schedule: With today’s mountain biking in Sikkim, you will be riding uphill to Temi Tea Garden in South Sikkim. The only tea estate in the state, it is considered as one of the most scenic tea gardens in the world and produces one of the best quality tea available in the tea world. Arriving at the destination, enjoy splendid moments enjoying its pristine beauty and finally retire in a nearby hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 05 Biking from Temi to Ravangla (26 km)
Day Schedule:In the morning, after your breakfast in Temi, start pedalling uphill and make it to Damthang. From here, the slopes will take you further to one of the most beautiful Sikkimese towns called Ravangla. Located at an altitude of 7,000 ft. in South Sikkim district, this picturesque town offers astounding views of the Mt. Khanchendzonga, Mt. Pandim. Mt. Sinialchu and Mt. Kabru. Arriving in the town, check-in into a hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at total leisure followed by your overnight stay.
Day 06 Trek from Ravangla to Maenam Peak (14 km)
Day Schedule: Today, take a short-time break from mountain biking in Sikkim and explore the pristine beauty of the state with a trek to the Maenam Peak. The trek will take you through dense and scenic patches of oak, hemlock and rhododendrons. Depending on your fitness and enthusiasm, this 14km trek usually takes around 4-6 hours (each way). On reaching the peak, enjoy the panoramic views of the Mt. Khanchendzonga, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Sinoulchu and Mt. Kabru; the excitement of the trek will reach the zenith point with your overnight camping around the peak.
Day 07 Trek from Maenam Peak to Borong (12 km)
Day Schedule: During the day, an easy and gradual downhill trek will take you to Borong. Counted among the most rustic villages in Sikkim, Borong is also the home to the natural hot spring called ‘BorongTsachu’ and is also known for its serenity and gracious beauty. With your arrival in the village, overnight stay camps will be pitched in; get into the camps and spend the night amidst the magical beauty of the hamlet.
Day 08 Biking from Borong to Tashiding (39 km)
Day Schedule:After the last two days of trekking, get back to your bikes today, and ride from Borong to Tashiding, a tiny village near Pelling. The ride will first take you to Ralang, where you can visit a sacred monastery and then ride uphill to Ravangla. Here onwards, the trail will move downhill and take you through the slopes of Rangeet Valley. After crossing these scenic valley, the trail once again will continue uphill and will finally take you to Tashiding; overnight stay will be in a hotel.
Day 09 Biking from Tashiding to Yuksom (32 km)
Day Schedule:Today’s mountain biking will be through gradual trails and will also pass across the aromatic cardamom plantations on the way; during the ride, you can also enjoy enchanting views all around. After riding for around 32km during the day, you will finally reach Yuksom, the base of several Khanchendzonga treks in Sikkim; overnight stay will be in a hotel.
Day 10 Biking from Yuksom to Khechupelri Lake (25 km)
Day Schedule:During the first one hour of today’s bike ride, you will shed off some altitude and pass through several settlements of the Lepcha Community of Sikkim. Here onwards, you will be gaining height and finally reach the Khechupelri village after completing a trail of 25km. Arriving in the village, visit the mystique Khechupelri Lake and finally settle down in a hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 11 Biking from Khechupelri to Pemayangtse (33 km)
Day Schedule:The slopes from Khechupelri will take you through many different waterfalls and pristine high altitude streams of Sikkim. Though the steep slopes might offer you some of the most challenging trails, upon the completion of the ride, you will be rewarded with astounding views of the great Khanchendzonga Peak from Pemayangtse; overnight stay will be arranged in a local hotel.
Day 12 Rest Day in Pemayangste
Day Schedule:Enjoy the day with a visit to the Pemayangtse and Sangachoeling monasteries and seek the blessing of the ancestors for the rest of your mountain biking trail in Sikkim. During the day, you can also visit the Rabdentse Ruins and explore the history and culture of this region; overnight stay will be in the hotel.
Day 13 Biking from Pemayangtse to Rinchenpong (45 km)
Day Schedule:Embrace the beautiful morning in Pemayangste and start your downhill biking trail to Dentam. From here, the trails will take you up towards Rinchenpong. Offering remarkable views of the Himalayan ranges, this settlement is one of the upcoming tourist spots in Sikkim and also is a treasure trove for the visitors. Arriving in this village, check-in into a hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 14 from Rinchenpong to Jorethang (33 km)
Day Schedule:Today will be last day of this amazing biking and trekking in Sikkim! On this day, you will be riding uphill through a straight route that will take you through several quaint and rustic villages of West Sikkim. Riding for around 33km, you will reach Jorethang, the last destination of this mountain biking expedition.
Day 15 Drive from Jorethang to Bagdogra (92 km / 2 Hours)
Day Schedule:After such an enthralling biking tour in Sikkim, today, you will be drive from Jorethang to Bagdogra. In case, you want to explore more of Sikkim, you will be dropped at the respective destinations; today, this biking tour will come to an end.
