Pelling is waiting to leave you in awe with its heavenly natural beauty and serenity. It is a hill town offering breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. It was initially enveloped in dense forest, home to a variety of wildlife. It is also a home to Buddhist monasteries.
Gangtok is the capital city of Sikkim. It has its own old world charm and attractions. It is a perfect place to enjoy enchanting views of mighty Kangchenjunga. Located within higher Himalayan peaks, Gangtok is also a base for several treks. Buddhist monasteries, gardens and temples are the other attractions here.
Arrive at NJP/Bagdogra. After a warm welcome, our representative will transfer you to Darjeeling (2134 m). Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax for some time. Rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Get ready for the sightseeing tour of Darjeeling early morning at around 4 am. Leave for Tiger Hill (2590 m), the mesmerizing place to capture sunrise views over Mt. Kanchenjunga. The sun rays falling on the snow-capped mountains is a sight to behold. Also visit the Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track offering a 360-degree view of the enchanting landscape of Darjeeling and its snow-capped mountain peaks. Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute to learn about mountaineering as a sport.
Other Darjeeling attractions on the list are Japanese Temple, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda and Chitrey Tea Garden(outer view). Evening at leisure. You can roam around at Mall Road.
Pelling is a pristine and picturesque town located at an altitude of 2,150 m. Visit the fabled Khecheopalri sacred Lake considered sacred by the locals. The Lake is hemmed in by dense forests and it is said that it fulfills wishes. Other Pelling attractions that will be covered are Darap Valley, Pema Yangtse monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri sacred Lake and Rabdentse Ruins. In the evening return to the hotel in Pelling. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, get transferred to Gangtok. The drive is scenic and makes one treat one’s eyes with tea gardens and mountains. Drive through Namchi, a wonderful destination where you can capture great views of the valley and mountains. Also visit Namchi Char Dham, a pilgrimage with 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva and replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas. Then head for Samdruptse Hill where stands the 118 feet, world’s largest statue of the Buddhist Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. As per the legend, it is a wish-fulfilling hill. Proceed to Gangtok. Upon reaching there, check in at the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure.
Post breakfast, head for Gangtok attractions. Start with the Ganesh Tok which is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is a famous temple where devotees come from far and wide. Here you will also be greeted with amazing views of Mt. Kangchenjunga. Have a great time at the gorgeous Banjhakri waterfall where people come to have a picnic. Then head to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to see the richness of Tibetan architecture and Buddhist culture.
Plunge into adventure at the Ropeway and enjoy arresting views of the mountains. Other attractions of Gangtok that will be covered are Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Bakthang Waterfalls, Tashi view point, Enchey Monastery, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and Flower Show.
In the evening get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Drive to the wonderful Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft/3750 m/3 hrs drive) in the morning 8 am. It is a high altitude lake soaked in pristine natural beauty. In winter it gets covered with snow and in spring it gets lively. Have breakfast and then head for Baba Harbhajan Mandir( 13,200 ft/4000 m) which is named after an Indian soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh.
Post-excursion, drive back to Gangtok. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Nathula Pass is fascinating motorable mountain pass of India. With 14,140 feet altitude, this Pass also served as an important trade route between India and Tibet.
